Sophie Dahl (born Sophie Holloway, 15 September 1977 in London) is a British model and author. She is the daughter of actor Julian Holloway and writer Tessa Dahl. Her grandfathers are both notable. Her paternal grandfather being Stanley Holloway, and her maternal grandfather was the late author Roald Dahl. Dahl made her name as a model and was hailed by the media and the fashion industry as a glamorous icon whose voluptous body stood apart from the prevailing trend for unhealthily thin models.
