Sofia Carmina Coppola (born May 14, 1971) is an Academy Award-winning American film director, actress, producer and screenwriter. She is the third female director, and only American woman, to be nominated for an Academy Award for Directing. Sofia Coppola is no stranger to the world of fashion. Not only has she starred in ads for Louis Vuitton as well as designed a handbag and shoe collection for the label, she has also previously directed a fragrance commercial for Miss Dior Cherie a few years back.
